“Worry and negativity are a misuse of your imagination.” – AnonymousTweet
Negative thoughts can be so draining, like a vacuum sucking you up dry. And if you give in to your negative thoughts more often, they become stronger and louder, cycling in your head. And this negativity increasing inside of you can quickly become toxic, thus, holding you back from living a full life.
We are sometimes guilty of making a mountain out of a molehill once in a while, especially when times are uncertain and challenging, and we blame it on our soaring anxiety levels. Though truthfully, the things that we usually worry about never happens. What a waste of time! Right?
Like they always say, change your thinking, change your life.
Toxic thoughts can become a habit, and we are more likely to pay attention to negativity, sadness, anger, hate, pain, and failure than happiness, comfort, joy, peace, and gratitude. We always feed on the negativity, no matter how positivity feels so much nicer.
Negativity is addictive. Toxic thinking is poison.
We may be more vulnerable to our negative thoughts, but we need to remember that we trained ourselves to do so, and by that, we can also train ourselves to think more positively.
Our choice matter, let happiness be a habit.
The good news is there are ways to overcome toxic thoughts that you can try:
