Okay, this is not just sealing the date with a kiss like on any other date. Kissing yourself goodnight is establishing a nightly routine to focus more on self-love. Take some time before going to bed that focuses solely on you, something that will soothe you after a full day of activities (work or play); a good cup of tea, journaling, listening to music, or reading a book are some of my favorite downtimes. There’s no better feeling than going to bed at night and feeling everything is falling into place.

Happiness doesn’t have to depend on anyone nor anything; all you have to do is give the level of commitment to loving yourself, knowing yourself better, believing in yourself, and reminding yourself of how amazing you are.

Intuition is a beautiful thing; it’s a knowingness that something needs attention or believing that something is off. Every person has intuition, but most fail to listen when it is saying something gently within. 

We always look outside of ourselves for answers when we have a serious decision to make, our family, friends, or whomever we are comfortable asking guidance with, yet we often ignore to seek the voice within; our intuition. 

Tip: Listen to your intuition before making a decision.

The subconscious mind has a way to communicate with the conscious mind, and it’s your secret power, your hidden genius, that will allow you to move forward with the right knowledge and in the right direction. 

You know the feeling. And know that feeling is REAL. Trust your vibes because it will never leave you astray.

So, let’s tap into your intuition, because the sharper it is, the happier you’ll be. 

Here are simple ways to tap into your intuition and to let it flourish and bloom:

1. Recognize it when it speaks

Your intuition is soft, subtle, and doesn’t scream, and you must be able to listen and recognize it when it speaks to you. It communicates and connects to you in different ways; feelings, ideas, thoughts, and words. However, it can also whisper in a physical sense; discomfort in the gut or chest, goosebumps, headaches, muscular tension, the feeling of relief, or sour taste in the mouth. 

Don’t mistake ego for intuition because the ego has urgency, throwing and flipping your thoughts around your head a million times. There’s an extraordinary sense of peace with intuition, even if it is something you don’t want to hear; a reasonable voice that will never criticize you but rather guide you, your inner wisdom, a feeling of euphoria. 

Tip: When you know deep in your heart and soul that it is true, then believe it is. 

2. Feel more and think less

Let your inner feelings be your guide, sometimes we don’t need to think about things, but we need to feel more about it. Don’t slip away because of your chattering mind thinking yourself in circles, hammering away like a crazy person. 

Get out of your head and get into your heart and notice how it makes you feel. Do not let your fearful mind rule you but rather let your heart’s wisdom speak through feelings. Trust your intuition.

Tip: Feel all of it, feel without holding back, and don’t overthink it.

3. Don’t ignore your dreams.

Dreams are meaningful, and it is our subconscious chance to step in and communicate with us. When you learn how to pay attention to your dreams, it can provide valuable information that you can’t access when you are awake, and it makes space for your subconscious mind to send signals while you are at rest. 

Your dreams can depict essential parts of your emotions and can give you insights into different areas of your life. 

Tip: Create a dream journal and record your dreams when you wake up. 

4. Learn to be silent and still.

Solitude turns down the noise of the world and allows you to tap into your intuition. It permits you to notice what your intuition is telling you, the signs, warnings, and encouragement. Intuition comes from deep within your heart and soul, so be mindful and focus on your thoughts and feelings. 

Get in touch with your intuition and be open to what comes to you, feel, and hear it. Learn how to focus on your own experiences in the present moment and see the situation from a different perspective. 

Tip: Connect the mind, body, spirit, and always look inside to find the truth.

5. Spend time in nature.

Spending time in nature can be spiritual healing, away from distractions and elements that can drown your intuition out. Being in the natural world allows you to connect and heighten your intuition because it centers and grounds one’s energy. 

Tip: Frolic in nature and be connected with the universe. It’s magical!


When you learn how to tap into your intuition, you will be impeccably in harmony with your authentic life, your truthful path. So, let your internal compass guide you, but it is vital to have a balance of both your rationality and intuitive self to make better decisions, your best decisions.

Life is hard, and I think it is sorely harder than it should be. 

Have you found yourself in a place where life isn’t what you wanted, or you don’t like who you have become, or you end your day every day wondering if it was all worth it? 

Then it’s time for some change, re-evaluation, and to learn how to make better decisions by understanding your values and beliefs; and to start living your life in-line with what’s authentic to you.

To live a life that’s true to you is undoubtedly the greatest gift you can give yourself. 

Living with intention will take you from where you are now and where you want your life to be, helping you to value life in the simplest form, a soulful journey, the life you truly desire. Can you imagine how it would be to be your most authentic self? 

I know, sometimes, it is often easier said than done, but when your intentions are in its purest form, so as your life, success, and relationships.

Evaluate your life.

Life can throw a couple of curveballs with some unexpected sideway turns; re-evaluating your life is the first step from all the baby steps you need to take towards change. What is it that you want to change? Gain a profound understanding of the things you have control over, shifting your approach, and trying a different way to deal with situations. 

Know and decide what you want.

Know your values, principles, beliefs, goals, priorities, and figure out what you truly need. What makes you tick? Why do you get out of bed every morning? What is it that makes you feel most alive? If you happen to know the answers, then it is time to start living in alignment with what truly matters to you. Do not sacrifice your dreams and time for other people, and put yourself first. Take the time and think about what you need the most and the kind of legacy you want to leave behind. A purposeful life is not a perfect life; it is learning to let go of the things that don’t serve you anymore. 

Do something that brings you joy.

A joyful life is the best life we all hope to achieve. It is the simplest form of living with intention every day, and it adds considerable value to your life. Be intentional by making yourself a priority by doing something that brings you joy by reading a good book, watching the sunrise, or the sunset, a tea ritual. A few minutes every day is all it takes to be in a joyful state of mind and change how you feel about life. Always practice self-care.

Don’t waste time.

Be intentional with your time, and spend it wisely. But don’t stretch yourself too thin, and take things slowly but take actions as you go. Being mindful and intentional with your time can help stop the rush that we regularly live in and instead to consciously do things with a purpose that gives fulfillment into our lives.

Feel all the feels.

Connect to all your feels, allow yourself to feel all the emotions, the feeling of intention. Remember that feeling is healing; it can transpire a dynamic understanding of how you are doing, physically, mentally, and yes, emotionally. Consider that every feeling has a message, and it is the path to your inner wisdom. Whether it is happy or sad, allow yourself to feel it all, beauty and madness! 

When you learn to be intentional and to live a life that’s true to you, it’s a chance to understand true happiness. We may need a push to make a change, so ask yourself; what I’m doing and why I am doing it. 

Focus on the things that bring meaning to life and learn to let go of everything that distracts you from living your best life.

Be intentional in all that you do, because you aspire, you dream, you love, you care, you want to do more, and most importantly, because you live.

We fall in love with people, places, things, and even art. There’s no incorrect way to love but, when you fall in love with yourself, you gain a deep affection, awareness, and appreciation of your worth and potential as an individual.

So many dreamed of falling in love at a young age, and there’s nothing wrong with that. There’s nothing wrong with loving, and it surely does not make you selfish, to dream of loving someone, and to be loved in return. Self-care is a favorite topic these days, but it’s always unsatisfactorily explained all the time. It may be vague to you on how you’re going to add it to your life, or maybe you are not yet convinced why you need to practice it regularly. 

FACT: You Cannot look after others if you can’t look after yourself. 

Self-care is a term that characterizes everything you do intentionally for your emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. Practicing self-care doesn’t mean you are choosing yourself over someone. It only means that you are prioritizing yourself, your needs, so you’ll be able to help your loved ones better.

How many times over the last week, or over the last month (not to mention the last year) have you felt worn out or crabby or lacked the attention span you needed to give something? If you’re like most people — and this year, during the pandemic, perhaps all people — then it’s true you’ve probably had all of those feelings, multiple times a week if not every day. That’s OK, but those feelings are also indicators that you might be neglecting something that’s important to your overall well-being: self-care.
