When we think of healthy habits, people usually assume what they need to give up, and what they can’t have. However, healthy habits you need in your life aren’t just about merely taking things out of your life, it’s about adding some nitty-gritty goodness that you can benefit from.

Life is a beautiful thing, but it can be hectic and chaotic! A little crazy here, a little crazy there, but to sum it all up, it’s a beautifully chaotic life. Each day we juggle so many things at once, and sometimes it can be overwhelming, to say the least. 

Some people seem to enjoy life effortlessly than others, even if their lives are as chaotic and busy. However, they peacefully accept the good, the bad, and the ugly with an open mind and heart. They don’t get caught up in the family drama. They don’t get upset with the tiniest stuff, insults don’t give them a chipped shoulder, they don’t make mountains out of molehills, and they definitely don’t cry over spilled milk. 

These are the people who often see the silver lining in every storm, they don’t let mistakes and failure be a hindrance to their serenity. Life is messy and crazy, but they will always find the calmness in the middle of it all

So, how can we find serenity, our inner peace in this crazy mad world?

Let’s focus on healthy ways that will help you find serenity even when life gets crazy, a balanced lifestyle, and a beautiful inner peace every day. 

Here are some ways you can take a breather you deserve:

  1. Give Thanks

Gratitude is a compelling attitude of being thankful for what you have in your life, taking nothing for granted. Try to start and end your day by giving thanks for all that you have. Don’t forget to always count your blessings. 

2. Morning Peace

When you start your day in peace, you’ll have peace and calm throughout your day. A great way to begin a serene day is to let your digital devices wait. Don’t use your mobile phone the moment you open your eyes. Give your brain and body the chance to wake up, savor a peaceful and quiet morning before starting your day with a buzz.

3. Practice Acceptance

When you practice acceptance, it doesn’t mean that you allow yourself to be treated poorly by others. Whether you are dealing with something in your personal life or the crazy world around you, acceptance can be very challenging. It’s hard to practice acceptance, especially when things aren’t going our way and when we feel that we are not in control of situations. But always remember that life will always throw a curveball at us, acceptance is understanding what you can and cannot change. Let’s accept it with grace.

4. Smile

Smile. Smiling has lots of health benefits, according to research. It increases immune function, extends your longevity, reduces your blood pressure, and increases focus and productivity. So, don’t get caught up in your own thoughts, notice the beauty around you, the people around you, and share your sincere smile to someone. Smiling will make you feel happy while making others happy too.

5. Calm Your Wandering Mind

When our mind wanders too much too often, it’s a sign that we are mentally off-course. We get irritated, we obsess about non-essential stuff, and we drift away to disturbing thoughts. When any of these happens, stop right away. Instead, bring them back to what you truly love. Remember your passion, your happy thoughts, and whatever it is that inspires you. 

6. Subtract

Are you trying to do too much? Do you think your whole identity rests on how much you can accomplish? Stop right there! It’s a trap, don’t get caught up in that mind chatter you have going on! Alternatively, remind yourself that you are worthy, and you don’t have to prove yourself by doing too much at once. Simply, do one thing at a time, and avoid the stress.

7. Get Enough Sleep

When you get enough sleep each night, you will wake up more relaxed with a clear mind. Our minds can’t clearly think if it’s not well-rested. So, develop a good sleeping habit and allow your brain to get the rest it deserves. 

8. Meditate Outside

Meditation is calming. The proof of daily meditations is rising and it turns out that we can prepare our minds to be still. It can help calm down our minds effortlessly. So slowly stroll outside, in a garden, or wherever you feel like it. Take notice of the beauty around you and appreciate every little thing. 

9. Sunrise, Sunsets, Stars, and the Night Sky

These are my favorite things to do, watching the sun, the moon, the stars, and the sky. It’s such an expansive moment when you feel that inner peace as the sun goes down, or looking at the sky full of stars. So, don’t miss out on these intensely nourishing foods for your soul. Step outside and enjoy the marvelous beauty above.

Serenity is a state of calmness, inner peace, the untroubled. If you develop these habits, you can make your life calmer, and you’ll feel serene. It’s a ripple effect on those around you which will make their lives better too. 

Establish a pace of life that’s right for you, a complete blend, the perfect blend, for a balanced lifestyle. Tap into your inner Dalai Lama and apply vital mind soothers that works for you. When you experience a state of serenity, it will help you to stay away from the chronic stress of life. 

People who find serenity, their inner peace, are better equipped to enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

Each one of us is motivated by different things. A great insight into what motivates us can make a difference between our success and failure. Accomplishing our goal is not easy. It is never easy! That’s why it is very significant to know how to stay motivated in life. 

Let’s face it, there are more distractions in our world today more than ever, and staying motivated is harder than usual. We need to learn how to stay focused and productive and not just give in to what’s easy at the moment so we can achieve our long term goals.

I, for one, am procrastinating at the moment with blogging since my son’s birthday is coming, and we can’t travel to celebrate it. Now that is a bummer! We never really give him gifts for his birthday because traveling is our way of showing him what life is with different experiences. I think it is the best gift you can give to anyone. 

Okay, enough about my sentiments at the moment! So, I decided to write about motivation because I need to stay in my game and look far ahead. 

So, I ask myself, how much do I want to achieve my goals? I think that’s the question we all need to ask ourselves! Are you motivated enough to keep on pushing, are you willing to sacrifice to get to where you want to be? Are your goals worth it that even when the times seem grim and ghastly and hope is hazy?

Motivation is not the full formula to success, but a huge part of success rests on it. Regardless of what goals we have set, if we can’t find the motivation to do it, to be consistent, then success is fading swiftly. But, when we stay motivated in life and follow through our daily tasks, goals to be exact, we break bad habits, then we can achieve anything. Do not let a hiccup hold you back from anything!

I do struggle with motivation, I have bouts of missteps, problems, and disappointments. Through it all, I learned how to stay committed, to be positive, to be motivated in life, and not just give up. I’m always ready for a comeback! I have my reason, I know my WHY. Do you?

When you contemplate life, is there something you desire you could change? Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but have to put a pause on it? Why the delay? Stress is no joke. It’s inevitable in today’s society and is a silent killer. We get stressed out daily and depletes our energy more than we realize it. Have you tried being tired even before your week has begun? Yes, stress somehow creeps in shadows and jolts your confidence. You may get overwhelmed in the process and leave you with less concentration. However, there are things you can do to cope with or minimize stress. 

So, take action and don’t let stress walk over you

Luckily, you can learn how to manage and relieve stress. There are many helpful rituals or habits you can change and beat stress for good. 

What can you do about it? 

Here are 10 of my favorite tips to live a less stressful and calmer life. 

  1. Pay attention to yourself.

When you start to feel exhausted and drained, and you feel like crashing down, then it is your body’s clue that you are under stress. Recognize it and listen to your body’s needs. Learn how to take care of yourself regularly. Make it a habit and prioritize your health! Health is wealth.

2. Slow down

Slowing down helps you reconnect with the present, and it helps you bring back to the here and now. Use this time to regroup, refresh, restore, and breathe new life into your day. Your mind will be sharper and thoughts clearer.

3. Make time for the things you love to do.

Make time for your hobbies and the things you love doing. If you enjoy doing it, then it matters, so set aside some time for it. Try to do something that makes you feel good, whether it be reading, writing, playing music instruments, or doing art. Prioritize your passion because it will relieve your stress, and ultimately, it will energize you.

4. Be here

An easy way to reawaken with the present moment is to stop reliving the past or dreaming about the future. So, focus on the now and don’t get lost in the past or future. Take everything that is happening around you. See it, feel it, smell it, and break off stress

5. Talk it out with someone and vent your emotions

It’s not always a bad idea to vent your feelings out, especially if you are stressed. Allowing yourself to take those feelings out will help you release off steam and will make you feel lighter. So, talking out feelings with a ride-or-die friend can put your mind at ease and helps validate your feelings. It helps ground yourself and knows that someone truly cares.

6. Enjoy some green tea

Drinking green tea has lots of benefits and improves your mood. It is rich in amino acids L-theanine and promotes relaxation. My daily go-to drink because it makes me calmer and puts my stress under control. Considered as the healthiest beverage on the planet and this magical green tonic can soothe you.

7. Take it easy and have a piece of dark chocolate

Dark chocolate has loads of nutrients that have a positive effect on your health. It’s full of antioxidants that help counteract free radicals in the body. Boosting your brain’s health and reducing stress. So, grab a piece or two of dark chocolate and enjoy a quiet downtime and improve your mood. Remember, everything in moderation.

8. The benefits of writing

Writing helps you process your thoughts and emotions. To put your feelings on a piece of paper serves as an outlet. It will help you analyze the situation in a different light and will give you a new perspective. And if there are certain things you cannot disclose with others, writing is your best therapy. 

9. Listen to your favorite stress-free playlist

Listening to music can have enormous relaxation benefits on your mind and body. It is a great aid, preventing the mind from wandering too much. Whether you are angry, suffering from grief, or fatigued, listening to music can soothe your soul and make you feel calm.

Taking slow and deep breaths help stress relief and can calm you down. Deep breathing is a method that enables more airflow into your body and helps calm your nerves. The 4-7-8 breathing technique is also known as a relaxing breath. It’s a breathing pattern involving breathing in 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds.

Bypassing stress is something we all want to do. Dealing with it varies drastically from one person to another, leading to some harmful elements that can affect us mentally, emotionally, and physically. However, you need to master your relationship with yourself and find a way on how to deal with it

Creating trust within yourselves, knowing what you value, who you are, and what you desire will have a positive force in your wellbeing. To live in a constant state of stress isn’t viable. So, make sure that you have the right level of chill and enjoy a stress-free life.
